Hälsa Foyer Caddy: 2014
How many times have we ever forgotten a piece of outgoing mail, our car keys, wallet, etc. on the way out? Or even an umbrella on a rainy day?
Hälsa (pronounced "hel-sah"; meaning "to greet in" Swedish) is a furniture concept designed for an entryway, hallway or foyer. It was inspired by my own wish for a designated unit that could house all of my pocket items upon entering my home; inspired by Scandinavian pared-down minimalist design.
The overall height of this unit was intentional; keeping items within eyesight range, and with multiple areas to place items for short-term storage.
Snug-fit assembly: Two 1.75" diameter Ash or Birch wood dowels, 1" diameter connecting brace, a powder-coated steel base for heft and two ABS plastic shelves that slide onto the legs. Total height: 40"
